Feel good about your IT, as we focus on providing growth solutions for your business while reducing environmental impact.
Have your tree and grow it! Achieve maximum profits for your business while still caring for the planet.
We're having a positive impact on our planet.
We make your technology last longer
We’re investing time in upgrading/repairing systems to extend their lifespan, and installing equipment with extended warranties.
We’re implementing a ‘repair/upgrade first’ policy instead of replacement – it takes us longer, but it saves you money and uses fewer resources.
Over 50 million tons of global e-waste is produced every year, of which only 20% is currently recycled. Reuse and repair programmes can help increase these figures and reduce the negative impact electronics are having on the environment.
We dispose properly of unused equipment
We have partnerships with Wanneroo Community Men's Shed (Perth, WA), who refurbish and recycle computers for underprivileged people.
List other partners that we use for recycling.
Monitors (fix them), proper recycling of equipment (Kat to provide info)
We're increasing energy efficiencies
We’re implementing User Education protocols and system-wide Computer Rules.
We’re educating our staff about computer uses and what differences they can make, e.g. how long a computer will stay on standby.
We’re instituting a policy of automatic shut-down after a certain time period.
We’re investing in virtual machines instead of physical machines, reducing the energy required to run the system and the resources required to produce the technology.
Carbon Offset Credit
Around 350kg of CO2 emissions are racked up for every laptop produced, equivalent to the production emissions of 240 litres of orange juice.
You can add a $10 contribution to the purchase price of every computer. We'll match your contribution with $10 of our own, and donate carbon offset credits to Carbon Positive Australia.
If you choose not to contribute, we'll pay the carbon offset credit.
